Funds

People who care deeply about the quality of life in Palm Beach and Martin Counties and have a strong desire to make a difference may choose to pursue their philanthropic goals by establishing an endowed fund with the Community Foundation.  You can make a difference by establishing a fund that’s right for you.  Below you will find lists of individuals, families, businesses and organizations who have their funds at the Community Foundation. Types of Funds
Unrestricted Funds

Your gift can address ever-changing community needs – including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made.  Grants from unrestricted funds are made after the Programs staff and Grants Distribution Committee review grant applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Donor Advised Funds

You can take an active role in recommending organizations and programs you want to support with your gift dollars.

Field of Interest Funds

You identify your personal interest area and our board awards grants to community organizations and programs that are making a difference in the area you select.

Designated Funds

You can direct your gift to benefit one or more specific charities in perpetuity.

Scholarship Funds

You can invest your gift in our Community’s future.  You determine the criteria students must meet to receive the scholarship you establish.

Agency Endowment Funds

Nonprofit organizations can use this type of fund to build their endowment, relieving them of the responsibility of managing their investments.

Supporting Organizations

You, your family or a private foundation may create a supporting organization of the Community Foundation, which is a special fund with its own grantmaking ability and board of directors.  The supporting organization benefits from our professional staff, administrative services and favorable tax status.
