Funding Resource Center
A COOPERATING COLLECTION OF THE FOUNDATION CENTER
Nonprofit organizations are facing an increased demand for services without the financial resources to provide those services. They may also lack the skills or knowledge to locate those funds. The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties' Funding Resource Center was established in 1985 to serve the nonprofit community in meeting those needs. It is one of a nationwide network of reference collections sponsored by the Foundation Center in New York providing reference materials on foundations, grants awarded in specific fields, corporate giving, and government grants.
Since grantmakers generally make awards by selecting proposals most closely related to their funding guidelines and geographic scope, it takes serious, often time consuming, research to track down those with giving records or stated objectives that are closely related to a grantseeker's proposal. The Funding Resource Center will help you identify those funders.
